 A clear bedroom = A clear mind

7000 years ago, the Taoist wise-people of ancient China believed that if we shape our environment well and arrange our homes and belongings around us correctly we will have a peaceful mind. Many millennia later these same priorities still guide our furnishing decision today. We aim to create homes that are full of light and colour, smooth forms and harmonious arrangements. We use cleverly positioned cupboards and shelves to keep our space clean, smooth and clutter free. We centralise important items such as beds, tables and baths in the room, to give them prominence, while marginalising the less important items to the side of the room.

We believe that the structure of a bedroom is important. You need to ensure that it is a peaceful and harmonious environment for you to sleep, rest and recharge and at the same time a convenient, organised space where you can easily get ready for the day ahead in the morning.

In our bedroom collections we have a variety of cupboard, wardrobe and chest styles, which provide plenty of flexibility for different bedroom set-ups. We recommend that you ask yourself some key questions about the size and shape of the pieces you need. How many partitions do you require in your chest or wardrobe to arrange your clothes and shoes? Do you need 2 large drawers/ cupboards, or a number of smaller drawer and shelf fixtures? Is your room better suited to a broad piece to cover a wall, a small upright piece to fit a corner or even an open wicker chest at the bottom of the bed?
