A display cabinet or kitchen dresser can bring a new dimension to a kitchen or dining room. The beauty of these furniture pieces is that they organise and enhance your crockery, cutlery and decorative items by displaying them. There is something much grander and majestic about the dresser or cabinet when compared to a sideboard or cupboard. Yes, they are bigger in scale, but it is the complexity of their structure and balance of materials that that make them stand out. An intricate combination of glass and wood, cupboards and cabinets, drawers and shelves, they really are a product of master craftsmanship.
The major difference between a kitchen dresser and display cabinet is the shelf set-up. They both feature two conjoined units: with a glass, shelved section at the top, for the display of glasses and crockery, and a cupboard and/ or drawer section at the bottom. Unlike the cabinet, however, the kitchen dresser features a small shelf above the bottom unit. This shelf can be a handy place for temporarily stacking plates and cutlery, as you remove them from the cupboards on their way to the table.
Our collection includes cabinets and dressers in various different styles. You will find pieces in pine, teak, oak and mahogany. The mahogany is a dark wood, which promotes an elegant and proud look. Teak meanwhile is a much lighter coloured wood that can bring a pleasant warm feeling to the room. If you are looking for a particularly homely feel, we have the Cottage Dresser in white painted oak and the Esther Display Cabinet, in mottled pine. Both of these pieces are beautifully finished with brass handles and doorknobs.
We want to ensure that our collection of cabinets and dressers includes varied and interesting styles. This means that we design, test and create new pieces very carefully and ensure that they add something to our collection.
