Our life project

Hello,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lois, and I’m a photographer. Sometimes, when the mood takes me, I write a little on my blog. My husband Arnaud is a pastry chef, and we have three children – Zoé, Hugo and Simon. Over the last few years, we’ve wandered between London, Barcelona, and various cities across France. Arnaud’s job means that we travel and have had to move several times.

But then, one day, we decided that we wanted something different. We wanted to rediscover a way of family living that hasn’t existed for a while. A less stressful way of life.
A lust for life, simple as that. In 2017, we moved out of the city to live in the country. We came across an old building in the heart of the Loire Valley. On the front, an old sign with the following written in capitals: SOURCE.
Like going back to our origins…? Surely we didn’t come across this by chance… it was fate that we chose this one. The house which we were going to invest the next few years of our life in. Our minds were full of ideas, but first things first, we needed to put pen to paper. Extensive renovation work stood ahead of us.
Little by little, the old building became our home. Slowly, the rooms took shape using a mix of materials, including wood, metal, and stone… But most of all, they would become a warm, welcoming home where we could live comfortably. Tikamoon will accompany us in our life project. Over the next few months, I’ll share my favourite parts of our journey with you through our blog, and how they shape our renovation. Follow our adventures and join us on this journey.

Until next time…
