The house is taking shape and we’re starting to get things the way
we want them. Renovation is a bit of a roller-coaster ride, full of
emotional highs and lows. We’re enjoying this new project, but at
same time we’re worried too. By the time we start to see the light at
the end of the tunnel, we’re so exhausted that, personally, I find it
hard to enjoy the finished spaces right away. I think it really is a kind
of ongoing process.
After the building work, interior design is an
important step… and the way the functions of each room are
distributed too. Today, I’m going to show you the future playroom and the future TV
room. I say future because, as of today, the room is still in its original
condition. It hasn’t been converted yet.
The work on this room will start in the spring, with a complete
makeover, some lovely fresh paint and a new floor.
For now we’re still making use of the room, which is ultracosy,
with the wood-burning stove and traditional French
beams… The children feel comfortable in it and spend hours
playing around in there.
