“Mural Wallpaper”: Wallpaper, a style statement

Décor is a very personal thing. It can be minimalist or very busy, unusual or quite ordinary, timeless or ultra-contemporary, but it will always create a sanctuary where you’ll enjoy entertaining, working or simply snuggling up on the sofa.

In a previous magazine, we talked about the twists and turns of plain black or white walls. Today, we are discussing a décor feature which tells a much more impactful story: wallpaper.

In the 70s and 80s, people loved to wallpaper their houses from top to bottom. Now, while some still successfully manage this feat, most of the time, we use it more sparingly.

Two or three lengths here, another one there… just to subtly boost an understated room, make it more on-trend or whimsical. To bring it into line with our new vision for our décor.

While we are often loyal to furniture, which we pick out with great care, our walls are just begging to evolve depending on our current style or the story we now want to tell.

From floral motifs to basic shapes, vintage or graphic, panoramic or trompe l’oeil, wallpaper designers are brimming with ideas to offer us an infinite number of options to choose from.
